Horizon Global Network

  Vision : The unity of all people in Jesus Christ

  Mission : Vitalizing the Kingdom of God by globally linking, developing, and  serving Christian communities

  Beliefs :   Embodying an evangelical Christian persuasion,

                 Horizon Global Network (HGN) confesses the following beliefs :

                     1. God is the eternal Triune God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deut 6:4; John 1:1; 10:10; 14:16-17; Rom 9:5).

                     2. The Bible is the Word of God written and is inerrant in the autographs (Matt 4:4; John 17:17; 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:20-21).

                     3. Jesus Christ alone is the Savior (John 14:6; Acts 14:12; Rom 5:8; 1 Pet 3:18).

                     4. Salvation comes by grace and faith (Mark 1:15; John 1:12; Eph 2:8-10; Tit 3:5).

  Activities

                     1. Sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with the people in the world

                     2. Training Christian leaders in the Bible and theology

                     3. Educating Christian youths through schools, camps, and seminars

                     4. Raising Christian worshippers of God

                     5. Defending the Christian faith through cultural means and engagements

                     6. Assisting Christians in the mission and ministry fields by practical means

                     7. Providing spiritual and humanitarian aid to those in need

                     8. Helping people cultivate the life of hope in Jesus Christ

Christian Education Ministries

  Vision : The unity of all people in Jesus Christ in love (John 13:34-35)

  Mission : To share instruction to love and to be loved (1 Tim 1:5)

  

  Beliefs : 

                     1. God is the source of love (John 3:16; 1 John 4:7).

                     2. Jesus Christ is the savior of life and the example of love (1 John 5:11-12; John 13:34-35).

                     3. The Holy Spirit teaches all Christians (John 14:26; 1 Cor 2:13; 1 John 2:20).

                     4. The Word of God is truth (John 17:17).

                     5. Biblical teachings are to be obeyed (Matt 28:18-20).

                     6. Every thought should be taken captive to obey Jesus Christ (2 Cor 10:5).

                     7. Disciples ought to reproduce (2 Tim 2:2).

                     8. Human beings are created in the image of God (Gen 1:26-27).

  Activities : 

                     1. HGN-CEM links like-minded Christian educational ministries in order to generate cooperation in the kingdom of God.

                     2. HGN-CEM assists like-minded Christian educational ministries in the ways specific to the needs and plans of those ministries.

                     3. HGN-CEM trains Christian disciples in God’s truth for the next generation.

                     4. HGN-CEM develops human and nonhuman resources to advance the education that is Christian.

                     5. HGN-CEM provides its Christian educational service to schools, camps, seminars and other educational ministries.

Expository Preaching Ministries

  Vision : The unity of all people in Jesus Christ in the Word of God (Col 3:16)

  Mission : To spread and honor the Word of God (2 Thess 3:1)

  Beliefs : 

                     1. The Bible is inspired by God (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).

                     2. The Word of God is truth (John 17:17).

                     3. Sermons must reflect sound doctrine (Tit 2:1, 2 Tim 2:15).

                     4. Preaching is a mandate (2 Tim 4:1-2).

                     5. The preacher himself is to be the example of what he preaches (2 Tim 3:14, Titus 1:9).

                     6. Preachers equip God’s people for God’s ministries in order to build the church (Eph 4:11-12).

 

  Activities : 

                     1. HGN-EPM partners with God’s people and communities in upholding the Word of God.

                     2. HGN-EPM helps Christian leaders to hone their skills and knowledge in expository preaching.

                     3. HGN-EPM instructs Christian leaders on how to analyze biblical texts exegetically.

                     4. HGN-EPM encourages pastors to be engaged in expository preaching in pastoral ministries.

                     5. HGN-EPM attempts to instill the life-long desire to prepare and preach expository sermons in the hearts of Christian leaders.

International Public Health

  Vision : The unity of all people in Jesus Christ in life (2 Cor 5:1-5)

  Mission : To offer the gift of health to the world

  Beliefs : 

                     1. God is the creator (Gen 1:1).

                     2. Public health is a way to care for creation (Gen 1:26-27).

                     3. Human lives are sacred and precious (Ps 139:13-16).

                     4. We ought not to do harm (Rom 13:10).

                     5. We ought to do good (Matt 5:16; 10:8).

                     6. Well-being includes the social, physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions (Prov 3:7-8; Rom 12:2; 1 Thess 5:23; 3 John 2).

  Activities : 

                     1. HGN-IPHM promotes healthy lifestyle as wisdom.

                     2. HGN-IPHM mobilizes human and nonhuman resources to aid those in need of proper health.

                     3. HGN-IPHM implements the public health plans for the good of the public.

                     4. HGN-IPHM supports Christian health and medical ministries.

                     5. HGN-IPHM fosters cooperation among Christian ministries.

                     6. HGN-IPHM creates opportunities to share the love of God.

Theological Education Ministries

  Vision : The unity of all people in Jesus Christ in the knowledge of God (Col 1:10)

  Mission : To deposit the Knowledge of God in human minds (Col 1:9)

  Beliefs :

                     1. HGN-TEM preserves the evangelical faith that testifies to the ultimate authority of the Bible, the God of Trinity,

                         cross-centeredness, salvation by grace through faith, and spreading the Gospel through words and Christian charity

                        (2 Tim 3:16-17; Eph 1:1-14; 1 Cor 1:13; Gal 6:14; Eph 2:8-9; James 2:18).

                     2. HGN-TEM carries out the Great Commission to make disciples of all the nations (Matt 28:19-20; Acts1:8).

                     3. HGN-TEM considers individual and local circumstances in providing theological education for Christian communities (Col 1:28-29).

  Activities : 

                     1. HGN-TEM links evangelical theological institutes and human resources to fulfill the Great Commission in Christian cooperation.

                     2. HGN-TEM operates Horizon Theological Institute (HTI) to equip Christian communities with theological knowledge and resources.

                     3. HGN-TEM develops internet-based communication and distance learning to reach Christian communities in remote areas.

                     4. HGN-TEM cooperates with local partners in HGN’s network for theological education.

                     5. HGN-TEM explores the current features and trends of Christianity in the world and shares the findings with Christian communities for mission works.

                     6. HGN-TEM provides consulting to theological institutions in mission fields concerning curriculum, administration, and academic operations.

Worship Arts Ministries

  Vision : The unity of all people in Jesus Christ in worship (Psalm 86:9)

  Mission : To develop worship arts and artists of God

  Beliefs : 

                     1. God is the ultimate and artistic creator (Genesis 1:1, Ecclesiastes 3:11).

                     2. Human beings are created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26-27, Ephesians 2:10).

                     3. God is the ultimate origin of all kinds of understanding, knowledge, and skills,

                         with which He blesses human beings for His work and His Kingdom (Exodus 35:30-35, 1 Samuel 8:13, 1 Peter 4:10).

                     4. Human beings must use their artistic skills to worship and praise the true God, not futile images or humanly thoughts. 

                         The only way to become a true worshipper is by having thoughts taken captive to Jesus (2 Corinthians 10:5).

                     5. Therefore, all arts ought to be redeemed for and united in Christ, which is the basic principle as well as the ultimate goal of Total Art Worship (Ephesians 1:10).

  Activities : 

                     1. Producing and performing Total Art Worship

                     2. Developing and educating worship facilitators all over the world

                     3. Discovering and nurturing young artists

                     4. Sharing and promoting various ethnic worship arts with the global community
